Me, in 20 Questions

graphic: Me in 20 Questions

So, I was reading some through some Full Sail alumni blogs and found Amanda Creek Creative’s post answering the questions below. I just couldn’t resist! So, here are my answers.

Question 1: How tall are you?
I lived most of my adult life thinking I was 5’8” – then someone actually measured me. I’m actually 5’7” – but feel taller!

Question 2: Do you have a hidden talent? If so, what?
Now, if I said anything here, it would no longer be hidden, would it?

Question 3: What’s your biggest blog-related pet peeve?
Long, uninterrupted text. I prefer to scan blog posts at first, then go back and read them. It’s harder to scan when posts don’t include subheadings, bullet points, etc.

Question 4: What’s your biggest non-blog related pet peeve?
Lack of kindness and compassion. Not as much a pet peeve as a barometer – unkind people show themselves sooner rather than later. It’s a perfect way to know whom to avoid.

Question 5: What’s your favorite song?
Oh, that’s a tough one! I heart The Beatles, and Brian Adams; Phil Collins and P!nk; M. Ward and Trio Los Panchos…and more. So, my favorite song depends on how I’m feeling on any particular day. Right now I’m playing “Somos Uno” by Yandel on Spotify.

Question 6: What’s your favorite Etsy shop?
Oh, again, too many to name. I’m a big fan of jewelry – especially anything Doctor-Who-related. I’m a HUGE fangirl.

Question 7: What’s your favorite way to spend your free time when you’re alone?
Reading. See Question #10.

Question 8: What’s your favorite junk food?
I’d say “chocolate” but I don’t think it is “junk food.” I think it is a gift from the gods and I worship at their altar as much as possible.

Question 9: Do you have a pet or pets? If so, what kind and what are their names?
I have one kitty, who’s the love of my life. Isn’t he a handsome boy?!

Question 10: What is your number one favorite fiction book?
Ha! Another tough question! I love, love, love Sci-Fi. And, I prefer to read series rather than stand-alone books. I also enjoy mystery, suspense, classic science fiction, and narrative non-fiction. One of my favorite authors is Peter Clines. I love him so much, in fact, that I wrote a wrote a blog post about him. His Ex-Heroes series is so worth the read! Folks I’ve read (or re-read) recently: Robert Galbraith (JK’s alter-ego), Jim Butcher, Charles Stross, and Simon Winchester. I’m also a huge, HUGE, fan of Sherlock Holmes. Of the thousands of books I read as child, “The Complete Works,” bound in leather and with original The Strand illustrations, is the only book I’ve carried with me across 2 countries, 5 states, and the many, many moves since my childhood.

Question 11: What’s your favorite beauty product?
Paula’s Choice Resist C15 Super Booster. Skin care magic in a bottle.

Question 12: When were you last embarrassed? What happened?
For the life of me, I cannot remember. I’m very good at forgetting anything unpleasant! 🙂

Question 13: If you could only drink one beverage (besides water) for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Raw whole milk, preferably just out of the cow.

Question 14: What’s your favorite movie?
I don’t have one. BUT, I do have a favorite TV show – Doctor Who. ALL of Doctor Who – the Classic, the 8th Doctor Movie, the Current series reboot starting in 2005. All of it. I’m a Whovian – my blood runs TARDIS blue.

Question 15: What were you in high school: prom queen, nerd, cheerleader, jock, valedictorian, band geek, loner, artist, prep?
Nerd. Definitely nerd.

Question 16: If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live?
A populated small self-sustaining island in the Caribbean. My cabin must have electricity and high-speed internet, and have beach access.

Question 17: PC or Mac?
Been a PC gal for over 20 years…recently forced to go over to the dark side. Can’t say I’m that upset about it.

Question 18: Last romantic gesture from a crush, date, boy/girlfriend, spouse?
I had a lover a long time ago who had a habit of showering me with rose petals, on a whim, for no real reason whatsoever. There have been others since, and many other romantic gestures. But nobody’s yet improved on that one.

Question 19: Favorite celebrity?
David Tennant. Hands down. He’s the only celebrity I’ve had a crush on since I was a teenager.

Question 20: What blogger do you secretly want to be best friends with?
Shhhh!

Now it’s your turn!

Do come back and comment with your blog post. I’d love getting to know you!
